Intelligent building automation systems

KMM T-D-KOM GmbH is also active in the building automation sector producing sensors and actuators for its own systems and also for the standard EIB (KNX). Operation and control units are an important component in these systems allowing building management functions to be regulated in both small to medium sized commercial buildings and also in larger residential complexes.

Building automation covers the entire range of monitoring, control, management and optimisation devices in buildings. It represents a comprehensive, automatic system capable of realising predefined settings (e.g. time and other parameters). The operation and monitoring of the system is simplified by control units. All sensors, actuators, operating and control elements, technical units and system users in the building are linked to each other via networks. Important features of modern building automation are the decentralised distribution of control units and the continuous, open networking of a standard building fieldbus system such as KNX, LON, BACnet and, increasingly, also Ethernet.

When used with the emergency-call server from KMM messages from the building automation system can be directly transmitted to a DECT phone or to a mobile phone. Certain system control tasks can also be realised via an App.
